Christine Rogers McMaster, Director of Data Governance, joined Wakefern in 1990 and has held positions in Procurement, Advertising, Marketing, Merchandising and Logistics. Ms. McMaster is responsible for support of Data Governance pertaining to product information and related Initiatives at Wakefern Food Corp. The Data Governance team manages the entire life cycle of an item from setup through to discontinuation. This includes analysis of article attributes to insure the data is complete, and accurately set up in the system to support replenishment, marketing, consumer transparency, both brick & mortar and digital, and meets regulatory requirements. Utilizing systems such as Global Data Synchronization, EDI, SAP and other proprietary systems, Ms. McMaster’s area supports the exchange of data amongst trading partners, while ensuring system data meets the operation needs across the organization. As a part of Wakefern’s Strategy & Transformation Division, her area is heavily involved in various projects that address operational efficiencies, evolving needs and trends at both wholesale and retail. Wakefern Food Corp. supports six banners; ShopRite, PriceRite, Fresh Grocer, Dearborn Markets, Gourmet Garage and Fairway operating in the Northeast.
