Gena Morgan has worked with GS1 and GS1 US for 22 years playing a key role in many industry initiatives. As a strategic consultant, Gena worked with various industries, consortiums and technical communities in defining requirements, developing technical interface standards and guidelines, focused on data quality, traceability and supply chain visibility. She has worked with the Innovation teams of GS1 US and Global Office to explore the intersection of standards and emerging technologies to continually drive efficiencies in today’s complex supply chains, in areas such as blockchain, digital identity, as well as strategic initiative development and implementation with numerous industries.

Gena recently took on the role of Vice-President of Standards at GS1 US and leads that team to further the understanding, application, and use of the GS1 system of standards.

Gena joined the GS1 Community after beginning her career as a buyer and merchandiser in women’s apparel and an IT consultant.
