Description

Are you ready for “climate labels” to show the carbon impact of your food products? Hear how The Ohio State University ongoing pilots using GS1 Standards can help meet climate and sustainability goals. We’ll explore how advances in hardware, software, and evolving standards, such as Electronic Product Code Information Services (EPCIS) 2.0, can help drive increased sustainability in the global supply chain and how this data will support the evolution to “green labels” on food products. The pilot findings go into detail about Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), Resource Depletion Potential (RDP) and the Global Warming Potential (GWP) of food products, all attributes needed to measure climate and sustainability goals.
