Ali has spent the last 11 years developing her career at Lenovo as an Industrial Designer, she has lead many high-profile projects like workstations and premium notebooks from concept to execution. In 2017, her role shifted to focus more on big picture initiatives like sustainability, accessibility and inclusivity. She realized very quickly that the most important element of design is, in fact, the relationships. The best solutions are simple and most often realized when people are empathetic and listen to one another.

This shift in perspective helped Ali develop a more strategic mindset and a desire to drive Lenovo towards a more meaningful and impactful future. In 2020, she started managing the Strategic Design & Innovation team. Their mission is to stay relentlessly focused on designing amazing future experiences for all people. The team studies what’s happening in the world, gather insights, embody the Lenovo brand and most importantly, listen to customers. They continually find creative ways to get people excited about the possibilities and motivated to make impactful changes happen within Lenovo and the industry as a whole.
